Mackinaw, Mackinac, and Sault Ste. Marie

I was able to sneak away for a weekend trip to visit some of the most popular tourist destinations in Michigan. It ended up being cool and a bit rainy, but we were able to make the best of it. I also was able to enjoy fresh seafood from the local restaurants.

Back in the Great Smoky Mountains!

It may seem odd to visit the same place two weeks apart, but it just happened to work out that way. Spring is a great time to visit the Smokies, and it happens to be the only time I’ve ever visited. This is only my third trip to the park.

Fuji X Workshop

One thing I’ve read many times over the yeas was that photography workshops are one of the best things you could attend. It was on my to-do list for a while, but I never got around to it. Then I googled smoky mountain photo workshops and found a few different ones. As I looked at each of them, I came across one specifically for Fuji X photographers. I narrowed it down between two different workshops and choose the Fuji X one.

I had a great time at the Workshop. On the first night, we picked our carpool groups for the length of the workshop; special thanks to Dennis for volunteering to drive. As it turned out, our group quickly became friends and learned so much from each other.

Thanks Susan, Dennis, and Gary for making this trip even better!
